Veterans BBQ
July 22, 2022 @ 16:00 - 20:00
SAVE THE DATE: July 22, 2022.
The City of Fruitland Police Department, Payette County Paramedics and the Fruitland Fire Department would like to invite all veterans and their families to join us for our Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Barbeque at the Fruitland Community Park, 505 SW 3rd Street, adjacent to the Post Office in downtown Fruitland on Friday Night, July 22, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. We will be serving Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Non-alcoholic beverages……
Many of our officers are veterans themselves, and we understand that many veterans sometimes feel isolated, alone, and may need help after their time in service. Tragically on average we lose 22 veterans a day to suicide. We want our veterans to know that we are here for them and that they are not alone. “Ride for 22” will be there accepting donations to benefit the families of veterans who have unfortunately fallen victim to suicide. Other organizations such as the Department of Veterans Affairs will be there to speak about services they offer which benefit veterans as well. We appreciate what you have done in service of our country, so let us show our appreciation and serve you. Bring a chair and your family. If you haven’t been to the park before, it has a splash pad and playground for you and your families to enjoy while you eat. We hope to see you there!
